KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Storms building to the north – up toward St. Joseph at this hour.

Near Atchison – a lot of lightning – and we are monitoring the roadways inundated with rain.

Some items of note:

– Basehor waking up to dime-size hail

– Wyandotte dime-size hail and gusts up to 64 mph

– Buchanan County sees up to 60 mph winds and power outages

– KCK at 99th and Leavenworth Road – 64 mph winds and dime size hail

– Lancaster, Kansas sees 55 mph winds and a porta potty scattered across Highway US73 at K9

The bulk of the storm should be done between 10 – 11 a.m.
