WEST FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – An early morning fuel leak has lead to an emergency road closure for most of the day Thursday, May 9.
The West Fargo Fire Department says crews were called just after midnight to the intersection of 13th Street NE and 7th Avenue NE for a report of a hazardous condition, when crews arrived they found that a passing truck had sprung a leak while driving down 7th Avenue NE.
Officials say crews immediately secured the roadway and blocked off a nearby water drainage systems. West Fargo officials say at this time no fuel has been located in any nearby drainage systems.
The truck was located and the remaining fuel was transferred to another truck to prevent any additional leaks.
