Fuel Price | More pain at the pumps with steep increases in March: Layton Beard

Motorists must brace for a steep fuel price increase coming into effect at midnight tomorrow.
The Automobile Association says it expects the price of 93 unleaded to go up by R1.15 a litre, 95 unleaded by R1.20 a litre and diesel by R1.18 a litre.
The price of illuminating paraffin will increase by 63 cents a litre.
The fuel price increase will reverse much of the relief given through price drops since November 2023.
Between November 2023 and January 2024, petrol prices came down by an average of R3.20 a litre.
