WEST ALABAMA, Ala. (WBRC) – You probably noticed the last time you stopped for gas, those prices are going in the wrong direction.
Nationwide, and here in Alabama, prices have risen for three weeks in a row, according to Gas Buddy. We checked in with AAA Tuesday and the current price of gasoline is $3.18 a gallon, up 10 cents from just a week ago.
AAA says we shouldn’t be all that surprised. The reason is because spring is here, which officially started Tuesday.
Gasoline prices typically remain on the low side during the winter months like January and February, according to AAA. So, as the weather is better and it being spring break, the slight rise in gasoline prices will continue to linger.
