Gas station employee accused of videoing child in bathroom, business responds

LOXLEY, Ala. (WALA) – A now former Loxley gas station employee is accused of videoing a little boy using the bathroom. Monday night, the businesses responded to the allegations.

The crime allegedly happened Saturday night at the CEFCO on Highway 90 and 59. John Plemons was an employee and arrested early Sunday.

The 31-year-old is charged with production of pornography of minors and possession of child porn.

Police said he allegedly followed a 10-year-old little boy into the bathroom and videoed him from under the stall. Investigators said the child noticed the camera and told his mother who then called 911.

The crime may have only taken minutes.

“From my understanding, it was a brief action,” said Sgt. Zach Kuiken. “The child was being followed by the subject in the store, and I think that the point of him going in the stall and the point of the subject filming him, I think it was pretty swift.”
