Former speaker of the House Bronwyn Bishop says for Australians to “get used to it” after an outage in Victoria’s key coal plant left 500,000 without power.
“All I can say is get used to it,” Ms Bishop told Sky News host Sharri Markson.
“This is the future, this is what the zealots who say we can live on so-called renewables – what we can expect.
“There has not been sufficient money spent to keep on the upkeep and maintenance of those power stations, and they will go down.”
Ms Bishop sat down with Ms Markson and Sky News host Steve Price to discuss the power outage in Victoria.
