The buses can carry around 70 students. Each is valued at over $375,000.
Grenada was one of nine districts across the state to receive federal funding to help pay for the transportation upgrade.
It takes about three-and-a-half hours to charge the batteries, according to Benji Britt, the Transportation Director.
Britt says each bus has a range of about 300 miles. However, the typical bus route is only around 15-20 miles around the inner city.
