Higher power bills drive 150 per cent jump in Origin’s profits | The Business | ABC News

Origin Energy has blown the lights out, growing its half-year profit by more than 150 per cent. The bulk of it was driven by higher electricity costs for customers and lower coal prices for its plants. Origin Energy CEO Frank Calabria says the company is recovering from much lower earnings last year and is focused on the green transition.
