As of Wednesday, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.33 across Iowa according to AAA. Prices rose 6 cents from last week’s price and are up 2 cents from a year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $3.62, up 7 cents from last week’s price. Retail diesel prices in Iowa rose 2 cents this week with a statewide average of $3.79. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.90 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 27 cents lower than the national average of $4.06.
According to gasbuddy.com, as of Thursday afternoon, the average price of unleaded gasoline in Fairfield was $3.16, $3.37 in Ottumwa, and $2.96 in Mt. Pleasant.
