The national average on Wednesday was $3.66, up 4 cents from last week’s price. Retail diesel prices in Iowa held steady this week with a statewide average of $3.79. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.96 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 27 cents lower than the national average of $4.06.
According to gasbuddy.com as of Thursday morning, the average price of unleaded gasoline in Fairfield was $3.16, $3.35 in Ottumwa, and $2.88 in Mt. Pleasant.
