The national average on Wednesday was $3.66, with no change from last week’s price. Retail diesel prices in Iowa fell 4 cents this week with a statewide average of $3.75. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.93 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 27 cents lower than the national average of $4.02.
According to gasbuddy.com as of Thursday afternoon, the average price of unleaded gasoline in Fairfield was $3.10, $3.29 in Ottumwa, and $2.88 in Mt. Pleasant.
