L&T wins largest ever cross-country pipeline EPC project in the Middle East; Shares rise [Video]

Engineering & Construction conglomerate Larsen and Toubro Ltd. on Thursday, March 14, said L&T Energy Hydrocarbon recently secured a “major” onshore gas pipeline project from a client in the Middle East.

Orders in the ₹5,000 crore to ₹10,000 crore range are classifed as ‘major’ by L&T.

The scope of work will include engineering, procurement and construction of two new 56″ pipelines with associated scraper receivers and launches and main line isolation valve (MLIV) stations, running parallel to the existing pipeline corridor, the company said in a stock exchange filing.

“This is the largest cross-country pipeline EPC project awarded to us till date and we are excited to bring our expertise to this strategic project,” said Subramanian Sarma, the whole-time director and senior executive vice-president (energy), L&T.
