Your First Alert: More showers and storms to come
New development of showers and storms is likely Wednesday evening. These will turn fairly widespread at times and the chance carries throughout the day on Thursday. Heavy downpours and lightning are likely with any activity that develops. With repeated rounds of thunderstorms between tonight and Thursday night, rainfall totals could add up to be somewhat substantial for many. Amounts between 1 to 2 inches will be a possibility.
A stronger storm or two could develop on Thursday if we are able to get a little bit of a break to build up some instability to fuel those storms, but that outcome isn’t a high-confidence event at this point. We’ll be watching and bringing you the First Alert to the potential if it develops.
