PEORIA (25News Now) – Peoria Police say they identified and arrested a man in connection with a February 15 shooting that left a teen boy injured.
Spokesperson Semone Roth says 19-year-old Nehemiah L. Garner was identified. He was located by officers leaving a home in the 3000 block of West Marquette after officers responded to trouble between two women last Friday.
He was arrested on a preliminary charge of aggravated battery with a firearm.
He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
That shooting left the 17-year-old boy in serious condition.
