Manchester United have reportedly called time on academy star Maxi Oyedele’s loan spell at Forest Green Rovers less than two months after he joined the League Two side. Oyedele has been spotted in first-team training to boost Erik ten Hag’s numbers and isn’t expected to return to his loan destination.
On January 17, United announced that they had sent the 19-year-old midfielder to Forest Green to play under outspoken manager Troy Deeney.
“I’m very excited to be here, and I’m looking forward to getting started. I will bring energy to the group, professionalism and quality as well,” Oyedele told the Gloucestershire outfit’s website upon his switch.
“I will let loose and give it my all. There will be no stone unturned. I believe we can climb up the table. That’s why I’ve come here, so I’ll be doing everything I can to help with that.”
