Multiple powerlines down in Johnson County [Video]

JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – The Johnson County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) has reported that powerlines are down on Ellis Avenue and River Street.

Johnson EMA has also confirmed that power lines are down around 120th Street NE in Swisher.

Officials are recommending that drivers find an alternate route. Johnson County has reported wind speeds of over 60mph.

Anyone in a county with a tornado warning or severe weather is advised to take shelter immediately.
