When Angela Laidman was born in 1976, her mother Dawn was told she’d never walk or talk and to put her in an institution.
That was a no go for Dawn, who took her daughter out of the hospital a month later. She was later diagnosed with Noonan syndrome.

The family behind the movie “My Lala” at a Feb. 9 crowdfunding for the film: Angela Laidman, her older sister/writer/director Christena Hampson and mom Dawn Laidman. Hampson hopes to start filming later the year.
