CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) – A nod to the German beer culture, Gaston County’s newest brewery is bringing a little bit of Europe to the community.
According to Bobby Myers and Katherine Long, the co-owners of Keepsake Brewery, they came up with the business concept while traveling continental Europe, particularly Germany.
“It kind of balances a little bit of that old-world German charm with a clean, white space and sort of that contemporary modern feel as well,” Myers said.
The brewery consists of an outdoor space in addition to the indoor taproom, featuring wooden benches and fresh flowers, an allusion to traditional German beer gardens.
In the future, they want to elaborate on that concept, adding more greenery to the space to give it more privacy and intimacy.
