Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible in an on-and-off fashion throughout the day Friday. We do remain in a level 1/5 risk for severe weather today. Morning storms will have dissipated by late breakfast time, more scattered storms come around lunchtime and last through your evening commute home, and then yet another round of rain comes to us overnight.

All systems will be scattered in nature, meaning not all of us will see rain, but those that do will see torrential downpours, small hail, and plenty of lightning.

Friday’s high temperature will sit in the upper 70s. Saturday’s high temperature will rise only to the upper 60s under mostly cloudy skies. Rain and a cold front move through the region overnight Saturday and into Sunday. Sunday morning and afternoon are a rainy washout, with no severe weather expected. Sunday’s high temperature is well below average and in the upper 50s.
