Opposition to outline nuclear power plan before May budget [Video]

Opposition Leader Peter Dutton is expected to outline the Coalition’s nuclear energy policy before the May budget.

The Opposition is also expected to focus its attacks on the government’s net zero strategy.

This comes after the Dunkley by-election over the weekend, which saw Labor retain the seat.

The Opposition’s plan will identify potential sites for small modular nuclear reactors as well as plans for safety regulations and waste disposal.

The Opposition will also begin detailing its economic policy in response to criticism it has failed to provide an alternative plan for cost of living relief.
