PM Narendra Modi launches projects worth 17,000 crore in mega development push in Madhya Pradesh [Video]

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday laid the foundation stone and dedicated to the nation several development projects worth around ₹17,000 crores in Madhya Pradesh while addressing the ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit Madhya Pradesh’ programme via video conferencing.

These projects cater to a variety of key sectors, including irrigation, power, road, rail, water supply, coal, and industry, among others, read a statement.

Besides launching the Cyber Tehsil project in the state, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone of irrigation projects worth over ₹5,500 crore in the state. Some of these projects included the Basaniya multipurpose project, the Upper Narmada project, and the Raghavpur multipurpose project.

Several districts in Madhya Pradesh like Dindori, Anuppur, and Mandla will benefit from these projects, which will irrigate over 75000 hectares of agricultural land. Further, it will augment the power supply and drinking water supply in the region.
