OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A mild start in the 40s will turn into a potential record setting afternoon in the 70s for all of us! The record high for today is 78 degrees set back in 1972 and we’ll come very close to that this afternoon.
The southwest wind will try to gust to near 25 mph this afternoon. That will help with the warming but also increase the fire danger around the area. Low humidity will also increase that fire danger too.
More mild air will stick with us through Wednesday afternoon with highs in the 70s likely each afternoon through then. It’s Wednesday night when things start to change up as some rain and storm chances move in from the south.
