CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – South Carolina drivers are feeling another squeeze at the pumps this week.
Average gas prices in the Palmetto State rose 5.3 cents per gallon to an average of $3.27 per gallon, according to GasBuddy’s survey of more than 3,000 stations in the state. Prices are 6.2 cents higher than a month ago and 13.7 cents higher than one year ago.
The cheapest station in the state as of Monday morning was priced at $2.95 per gallon while the most expensive was $3.89, a difference of 94 cents per gallon.
In the Tri-County, the cheapest gasoline as of Monday morning was at a station in Charleston selling gas for $2.89 per gallon.

Nationally, gas fell 1 cent per gallon over the past week to an average of $3.62. The national average is up 2.7 cents from a month ago and 11.1 cents higher than one year ago.
