SELMA, Ind. — Selma is continuing its clean-up efforts in Delaware County after severe weather and a tornado rolled through the town Thursday night.
Emergency Management reports up to 50% of structures saw the initial impacts of the EF-3 tornado.
One of those homeowners is Brenda Sarah. She was sheltered with her grandson in the bathroom when she said there was a change in the atmosphere.
“He got down, you know, in a ball in the bathtub, then I just got over the top of him,” said Sarah. “I just kept repeating out loud over and over Jesus, please keep us safe, and I just kept repeating that over and over.”
While things were swirling around in the air, her home security system called to check in on her.
