WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) –

We’re entering an active weather pattern with the chances for severe weather impacting at least parts of the area from Thursday into Saturday. For now, a weak front has dropped in from the north and will be stalling across north Texas. This will lead to an increase in moisture and humidity from the Gulf of Mexico. There will be some added clouds to our skies on Wednesday and an isolated shower in the morning can’t be ruled out. Highs on Wednesday will mainly be in the 70s. A strong storm system approaches Texoma late Thursday afternoon and night. Severe storms will develop first, out west along a dryline. These storms will likely form into a line Thursday evening as a cool front swings in from the west. The main threat from these storms over us will be gusty winds and some hail.
