Today’s weathermaker brings us a chance of light rain to the SOUTH of Green Bay. The best chance of showers will be this afternoon. The rain is struggling to push northward through Wisconsin, as it battles into drier air across the northern half of the state. Most folks across east-central Wisconsin will see less than one-tenth of an inch of rainfall, while areas north of Highway 29 probably stay dry. Considering our lingering drought, many will find today’s rainfall “disappointing”.

While this storm system slides into the lower Great Lakes, we’ll be getting a gusty northeast wind around 25 mph. As that breeze blows off the Bay and Lake Michigan, look for cooler highs in the 40s. Some 50s are likely to the NORTHWEST where there’s some limited sunshine. With the cooler temperatures, elevated fire danger should slowly decrease.

Then, an “Alberta Clipper” will zip through the region this weekend. …
