SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The Sioux Falls School District will hold all elementary students who walk or ride buses until severe weather passes through on Tuesday.

A message from the district said that due to weather, buses will not leave elementary schools until it is safe to do so.

The storm system is expected to arrive around 2:45 p.m. and be done around 3 p.m.

The School District warns this decision will cause a delay in middle school bus routes and advises parents and guardians to plan accordingly.

If weather continues to be an issue at the time of high school dismissals, students will be advised to wait to leave until the system passes.
