SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – “What a difference a day makes” is the perfect expression to describe our weather from the past two days.

We’ve gone from record-setting highs in the 70s on Monday to snow, wind, and cold that has moved in on our Tuesday.

The snow that was moving through Siouxland Tuesday afternoon won’t be sticking around for long, but will linger through the evening hours and when combined with winds gusting between 40 and 50 miles per hour could cause a good reduction in visibility.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for parts of Siouxland into early tonight.

That snow band quickly moves to the east tonight and the wind will slowly back off as the night goes along with lows heading into the upper single digits.

Wednesday will be a much calmer and brighter day although temperatures will stay on the cooler side of what we’ve been …
