The most intense snowfall is expected between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m., which is anticipated to cause a messy morning commute.

The snow began along the lakeshore around 5 a.m. and has quickly moved across the region. There is the potential to receive an inch of snow per hour, with some areas seeing higher rates.

This system is expected to move past West Michigan by noon.

The most intense snowfall is expected between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m., which is anticipated to cause a messy morning commute. Impacts will be short-lived but periods of low visibility, snow-coated roads and shovelable snowfall are anticipated. Because the snow is falling so heavily, conditions can worsen quickly.
