The government is introducing several funds to fast-track investments and cushion the fiscus against unforeseen expenditures. President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced the establishment of a Climate Change Response Fund to address unexpected expenditures associated with damaging weather events and climate change. Other government funds include the Infrastructure Fund and the Junior Mining Exploration Fund.
