Suspect in Overland Park stabbing taken into custody [Video]

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (KCTV) – A man was taken into custody Monday evening in relation to a stabbing that happened in the morning.

Police said the stabbing happened just before 1 a.m. on Monday, April 22.

The suspect was taken into custody at 6:10 p.m. in the 9100 block of Robinson.

The Overland Park Police Department booked 47-year-old Kevin J. Donovan into the Johnson County Detention Center Monday night on charges of aggravated battery with great bodily harm.

Donovan is being held on a $250,000 bond.

OPPD said the victim is now in serious condition and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
