On the afternoon of March 18, Chinese President Xi Jinping visited BASF Shanshan Battery Materials Co., Ltd. in Changsha, Hunan Province to learn about the local efforts to accelerate the development of new quality productive forces and expand high-level opening up to the outside world.

BASF Shanshan Battery Materials Co., Ltd. is a joint venture established in 2021 by BASF, a leading German chemical company, and Shanshan, one of China’s top 500 enterprises. The company has established a business loop covering raw materials, precursor materials for positive electrode materials, positive electrode active materials and recycling of waste batteries.
