PEORIA (25News Now) – Two 14-year-olds and a 16-year-old were arrested after a reported robbery of a business midday Monday.
Peoria Police spokesperson Semone Roth says officers were called at around 12:12 p.m. to a business in the 3000 block of North Sterling for a robbery.
A trio of teens matching the description of the suspects were found in the 3000 block of Woodbine Terrace.
A loaded handgun was found near one of the teens.
One 14-year-old was arrested for aggravated discharge, armed robbery, mob action, aggravated battery and aggravated assault with a firearm in connection to separate incidents.
The other 14-year-old was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and resisting police in connection with this incident and arrested for mob action, aggravated battery and aggravated assault with a firearm in connection with numerous prior incidents.
The 16-year-old was arrested for retail theft.
All three were taken to the juvenile detention center.
