TVA adds new system to manage aquatic plants in Lake Guntersville [Video]

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala — In efforts to preserve the positive side of aquatic plants TVA along with My Lake Guntersville and the W.E.T. Foundation have teamed up to create a solution to manage the aquatic plants in Lake Guntersville.

The CD3 system is a new a free tool that all boaters can use to clean, drain, and dry their watercraft in order to reduce and stop the spread of invasive species. Although Lake Guntersville is for recreational use, TVA encourages those to preserve the fish wildlife’s habitat by minimizing their negative impacts.

One system will be located at Goose Pond boat ramp in Scottsboro and the other will be stationed at the Claysville boat ramp located on Hwy 431 just across the bridge in Guntersville.
