BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — In the last decade, wildfires have burned more than 70 million acres across the U.S., that’s the size of Nevada.

When those fires burn through forests, the smoke doesn’t just pollute our air and turn our skies orange, it also creates a feedback loop which accelerates climate change.
