This is the second time the NOAA has issued a statement that emphasized how there is no evidence linking offshore wind production with whale fatalities, and they’re not the only agency to do this with regard to New Jersey, which has become the political testing ground for the issue.

Two other federal agencies have reached these same conclusions, along with the NJ Department of Environmental Protection, which addressed this issue long before politicians decided to make it a culture war canard. The DEP produced an exhaustive, state-specific report on climate change in 2020 that includes 15 pages on marine systems alone, including three pages on whales and other mammals.
