Wildfire season begins today in Nova Scotia, with daily burning restrictions now in place. Two major fires last year burned more than 25,000 hectares of land and 200 homes across the province. Jim Rudderham, director of fleet and forest protection with the Department of Natural Resources and Renewables, spoke to CBC Nova Scotia News host Amy Smith.
