Construction is starting back up in Plattsburgh for the season as crews work to put the finishing touches on the city’s Margaret Street Reconstruction Project.City officials said that work resumed on Wednesday between Cornelia and Broad street to finish work on the longstanding infrastructure project.While the bulk of the work was completed in October, some aspects of the project need to be finished, such as the installation of new signal lights, pedestrian crossing facilities and new concrete-stamped sidewalks, according to city officials.A delivery delay held up completion of the signal light and pedestrian crossing facilities at key intersections, while work on the stamped and dyed concrete crosswalks had to be delayed due to colder weather conditions last year.The city is also working on replacing several sections of recently finished sidewalk that did not meet the standards of the project, a release about the ongoing work stated.Officials urged residents and visitors …
