FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) – Earth Day is around the corner, so it’s time to clean up our acts! There are a few Earth Day inspired events this weekend in Fairbanks. On Saturday, join the Choir of the North for a special night at the Davis Concert Hall. The University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) choir will be joined by local high school choirs from West Valley, Lathrop, Ben Eielson and North Pole for a memorable ensemble.
There will be a documentary on biodiversity and the Regenerative Agricultural Movement, titled “Common Ground” playing Friday at the UAF Murie Auditorium.
Also, don’t miss the Earth Day Maker’s Market on Saturday, at the Barnette Magnet School to enjoy various activities, food, music, unique vendors and workshops.
There will also be an Earth Day spring cleaning exchange at the Lumi Coffee Bar on Saturday at 11 am.
