The Evans family moved from Cleveland to Columbus to care for their son.
COLUMBUS, Ohio — For the last four months, Shaun Evans has been at Nationwide Children’s Hospital waiting with his parents for a new heart.
His family moved from Cleveland to get care in Columbus.
“Heartbreaking to know what we were up against. But, we want to stand by him and give it all to keep our baby here and alive,” said Rayshaun Evans, Shaun’s father. “Whatever it takes for him is how we looked at it. We basically wiped our table clean of life and dedicated our time to him. Whatever it takes to bring him the best opportunity in life.”
The Evans family said Shaun’s spirit is strong. He hasn’t let his health struggles stop him from being himself.
“Definitely a happy baby. Overall, just full of life, and energy. Just a sweet baby,” said Rayshaun.
