THOUSANDS of households are eligible to one-off energy vouchers that could help with their bills – and here’s how you can claim yours.

Warwickshire County Council has urged families who are struggling with their utility bills to apply for the support now.

The voucher scheme has been provided by the government to local authorities to help families and individuals most in need.

As the cost of living has soared, the fund hopes to help households with:

  • Food
  • Energy
  • Water
  • Essentials linked to the above
  • Other essentials, if necessary

Families and households in Warwickshire can apply whether they are users of pre-payment meters, pay by direct debit or on a receipt of an energy or water bill.

But the council has warned all applications for the payment must be made by March 22.
