Sky News host Rita Panahi says the Albanese government plans for Australia to become a solar panel “superpower”.

Ms Panahi said it is “so absurd” for the government to believe that.

The Prime Minister announced a new solar panel manufacturing program called Solar Sunshot.

The goal of the program is to boost Australian solar panel and cell production.

“It is patently ludicrous to think that with one of the highest-paid workforces anywhere in the world, we’re going to manufacture solar panels that are going to compete with China.”
