MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Spire Energy has a new training tool designed to get more young people interested in skilled trade careers and train current employees.

The “mobile training trailer” is a former race car hauler. Two Spire employees transformed it into a training tool that has fully operational natural gas appliances, including seven furnaces of varying efficiency levels, two tankless water heaters, two space heaters, and gas logs.

It also features a large screen monitor for presentations and a large toolbox containing all the tools required for training.

It’s already making the rounds to schools and community events. About 2,000 Montgomery students have already had the chance to explore the mobile training trailer.
