St. Bernard Parish prepares for Wednesday’s severe storms [Video]

ST. BERNARD PARISH, La. —

St. Bernard Parish is making preparations ahead of Wednesday’s severe weather.

The Parish cleared the invasive lily pads from the canals near pump station No. 4 at Guerra Drive.

It’s an effort to clean the waterway and improve drainage for the heavy rainfall and the upcoming hurricane season.

The cleanup was posted on the Facebook page of St. Bernard Parish Government.
