STORM Kathleen left thousands of homes without electricity as strong winds and damaging gusts battered Ireland today.
And the wild weather is not over as five counties are due to be hit with another blast overnight and into tomorrow morning.
More than 34,000 homes and businesses were without power at the peak of outages, with ESB Networks latest figures showing around 7,000 customers still without electricity.
Repair crews are hard at working responding to remaining faults, but only where it was safe to do so, the ESB said.
The bulk of outages still causing havoc are in Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim, Laois and Wicklow.
There was also travel chaos throughout the day with some flights, ferries and train routes cancelled.
