‘Swindle factories’: Barnaby Joyce rips into solar and wind farms [Video]

Former deputy prime minister Barnaby Joyce has slammed solar and wind farms, labelling them “swindle factories”.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese spruiked his government’s new Future Made in Australia Act which aims to invest in clean and green energy manufacturing.

“I don’t know why people think it’s a surprise when your energy prices are going through the roof,” Mr Joyce told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“They are not farms – they are intermittent power companies that swindle your listeners.

“They are swindle factories.”
