Tyler business managing around boil water notice [Video]

TYLER, Texas — Thousands of residents in west Tyler are still under a boil water notice after a water line burst Monday morning and caused massive damage to the sidewalk and part of the road in front of Sam’s Club off Loop 323 in Tyler.

On Tuesday, the city of Tyler said the pipe that broke causing the boil water notice has been fixed and samples of water have been taken to the lab. However, the boil water notice is still in affect. 

“Based on when that repair is completed, that will determine when we can take some of those samples that we need to take so that we can then rescind the boil water notice,” Tyler Utilities Director Kate Dietz said.
